egumis or the electronic Government unclaimed moneys onformation system is an online portal manage by the Accountant General’s Department of Malaysia (Jabatan Akauntan Negara Malaysia) (ANM) to monitor unclaimed money by financial institution, companies or firms.
It allows individuals and companies to check and claim unclaimed money that may be owed to them.
How to check your unclaimed funds
Claiming funds through eGUMIS involve a few straightforward step:
Register / Login
- Visit the eGUMIS portal
- Register by providing your personal details or login if you already have an account.
- Search for unclaimed money
Submit a claim:
- If you find unclaimed money you can submit a a claim through the portal, you’ll need to provide necessary documentation to prove your identity and entitlement to the funds.
- This might include your NRIC, proof of address and any relevant documents related to the unclaimed money.
Verification:
- The Accountant General’s Department will review your claim and verify the provided documents.
Receive Funds:
- Once your claim is approved the funds will be transferred into your bank account and you will be notified via email or through the portal about the status of your claim

Documentations
To claim find through eGUMIS you’ll need to provide several documents to verify your identity and entitlement. follow are typical documents required:
- A copy of your MyKad ( NRIC ) or passport
- Recent utility bill, bank statement or any others document showing your current address
- Supporting documents related to the unclaimed money such as old bank statement, dividend statement or insurance policies.
For Companies:
- A copy of company’s registration (SSM)
- A copy of director’s NRIC or passport
- A letter authorizing the person submitting the claim to act on behalf of the company.
- Supporting documents related to unclaimed money
Additional document
- Death Cert ( if claiming on behalf of a deceased person)
- Letter of administration or probate (id applicable)
How to Claiming funds
- Go to the eGUMIS website and click on the register button to create a new account
- Login your account after registered
- Search for your unclaimed funds, the system will display any unclaimed money owed to you along with the source of the funds.
- Add your payee details if you find your unclaimed money
- Upload any required documents to verify your claim
- Received payment after your claim is processed and approved and the payment will make into your designated account.
